Privacy Policy

We keep this game lightweight and privacy-first. We do not ask for real names, phone numbers, or physical addresses.

What we store

• Game stats: infection state, spreads, cures, chain totals, and timestamps used to render leaderboards and your profile.
• Optional profile text: nickname and motto if you choose to set them.
• Cookies / local storage: a random player token cookie to remember your profile on this device. Theme and sound preferences are stored locally in your browser.

IP handling

For abuse prevention (rate limits / bans), we may store a one-way hashed identifier derived from your IP address and a server-side salt. We do not store your raw IP address in the game database for normal gameplay.

Event logs

We log basic game events (such as “spread,” “new player,” or admin actions) to help diagnose issues, measure health of the game, and prevent abuse. Logs are not designed to identify you as a person.

Ads

The site may display advertising. If ad providers are used, they may set their own cookies or use browser signals in accordance with their policies. If you prefer fewer signals, use browser privacy controls or an ad blocker.

Data retention

We keep game stats and logs for as long as the service is running, unless data is deleted during maintenance, resets, or abuse cleanup.
